Shadowrun Fiction

Official Novel

My first official Shadowrun novel (and hopefully not my last!) is Borrowed Time, which stars the canon-approved version of Winterhawk, along with Ocelot and some new chummers. Check it out at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and DriveThruFiction.

Fan Novels

In addition to freelancing for Shadowrun throughout its FanPro, WizKids, and Catalyst Game Labs incarnations (see my Credits page for a list), I’ve written five linked fan fiction novels in the Shadowrun RPG universe. They are available as free PDFs – just click on the book cover thumbnail. These were originally written from 1999-2005.

A Note for Confused Readers: When I originally wrote these novels, Winterhawk was completely my own character, and his “secret ID” was a British mage named Alastair Stone. This is reflected in all of these novels. However, when he became an official Shadowrun JackPointer, I asked the SR line developer to give him a different real name, since I wanted to use Alastair Stone in my own original fiction (which has no connection to Shadowrun and is set in the present day). So…my Alastair Stone and this version of Winterhawk share many similarities, but the “official” version of ‘Hawk from the published Shadowrun material is not Alastair Stone. Apologies for any confusion this might cause.

Fun Fact: A certain character in this series, whom I won’t reveal here to avoid spoilers, was the inspiration for the official Shadowun dragon “Damon.”
